iPronics Programmable Photonics has been granted by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (Institut Valencià de Competitivitat Empresarial, IVACE) in the framework of the Program “Creación de empresas de base tecnológica (CREATEC-CV)” to carry out the project SMARTLIGHT in 2020-2021.
SMARTLIGHT focuses on the development of the software layers required to provide the control of a first prototype of the reconfigurable photonic processor, based on the Field Programmable Photonic Gate Array (FPPGA) developed by iPronics, which will be capable of programming high-speed light signals on-chip with unprecedented flexibility. These software layers include the control environment that allows monitoring, automatic characterization, configuration, optimization and advanced programming of highly complex and dense programmable circuits.
This project is co-financed by the European Union with ERDF funds under the Program “Programa Operativo FEDER de la Comunitat Valenciana 2014-2020”.
